Part 1 described the operation of the keyless start system. The keyless entry option builds on this by adding a few components. The same KVM is used for both systems. For the keyless entry option there is a low frequency antenna built into the drivers and passenger's front door handles. Also there is one behind the rear bumper.
I have a Mondeo Mk4.5 facelift and the reverse lights are not working, I have checked the reverse switch with Ohms meter for continuity = OK & the reverse bulbs are good, I have seen other posts stating that the reverse signal is handled from the BCM under the passenger foot-well, I have checked fuses and all seem good, everything else is
I have a Ford Mondeo MK4 Saloon from around '08, Ireland, Right hand drive. Last year I noticed that only one of the reversing lights was working, but the car test passed it anyway. However when the car went for test this year the rear fog light on the other side is not working, so I assumed it was just the bulb and I went to replace it, but
I’ll doible check the fuses, I’ve only had the car 2 weeks, private sale, it’s had a few little issues like rear bulbs needed replacing, cig lighter didn’t work, the blaupunkt NX Radio satnav didn’t work but I updated the firmware and it works normally. Few modern cars offer the practicality or space of a Mk4 Mondeo – they’re enormous – and 2.5s tend to be particularly well-equipped. They’re astonishingly smooth mile-munchers. The five-pot motor is shared with the Focus ST225 and Mk2 RS, so it’s extraordinarily tuneable and would make an epic sleeper.
Ford Year: 2014. UK/Ireland Location: Suffolk. Posted September 3, 2015. I discovered, nearly to my cost, that the front parking sensors only seemed to work when reverse has been selected, but I have now discovered that you can switch them on manually, on my MK3 focus using switch below the climate control.
