Coming out next week any advice regarding currency is it better to change cash when I get there do they still except stirlling and can you use euros in shops and
There are ATMS in most places, but do be careful. Apparently if using the ATMS you get the best rate by withdrawing in GB ££s, then exchanging to Turkish. Hotels generally charge a higher rate of exchange. We usually take about 50 Turkish Lira to cover the first day, then change in Turkey as you will get a higher rate.
Answer 11 of 21: We're due to visit Lara Beach in a few weeks and not sure whether to take Lira or Euros? We're all inclusive so it's only for trips etc. I've been told the Turkish prefer you to give them Euros but hear you get more for your money

Answer 1 of 17: Hello, Is the exchange rate in antalya good for exchanging Euros to dollars? In Amsterdam they usually take around 0,03USD commission per euro, would it be the same in antalya?

9. Re: Should I take euro or lira. In tourist areas the goods in shops are actually priced initially in Euro and the then the shop owner converts to the currency of your choice at the rate for the day. You realize that this is the case when goods cost the same whether the exchange rate is 3 or 5 Lira to the pound.
Canada is not a member of the EU and therefor can't participate in the Euro. They use Canadian Dollars in Canada, so you're probably better off paying with that. There might be some places (especially in tourist areas) that will accept Euros, but that will be at an inflated exchange rate.
